Abstract
The article contains a brief report of the Kostanay ethnoarchaeological expedition conducted in the northern regions of Kostanay in late May and June 2024. This expedition is a scientific project of the Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology "Methodology of field ethnoarchaeological (ethnoarchitectural) studies of monuments of the steppe zone of Kazakhstan and the territory of the Diaspora" (head, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Prof., S. E. Azhigali). The materials on the ancient graves of Kazakhs located in the north of Kostanay region in the areas of Kostanay, Mendykara and Fedorovsky, on the left bank of the Tobol River, near the mouth of the Uy River and the confluence of the Togyzak River into the Uy River, mid of the 19th – 20-30s of the 20th century, traditional tombstones and wintering grounds are briefly presented.
