В статье рассказывается о процессе освоения казахскими художниками мировых художественных практик, об историческом формировании в Казахстане такого вида искусства, как контемпорари-арт. Контемпорари-арт в Казахстане активно развивается, следовательно, является целесообразным его осмысление на искусствоведческом уровне. Казахское актуальное искусство репрезентуется не только на отечественных, но и на мировых арт-площадках. Художники казахского современного искусства освещают актуальные культурные и социальные проблемы Независимого Казахстана, также рефлексируют на личные темы. Таким образом, творчество актуальных художников Казахстана является неотъемлемой частью мирового художественного процесса, что рассматривается в данной статье.
