Аннотация
Статья посвящена некоторым вопросам, связанным со свадебным обрядом жителей Карабаха с начала ХХ века до кануна 1970-80-х годов на основе художественного творчества народного писателя А. Велиева. Здесь прослежен и воссоздан особый отрезок жизни карабахского населения – от начала смотрин или выбора девушки до собственно свадебной церемонии. В статье говорится о различных подарках, украшениях, комплектах одежды, даруемых за время обручения невесте, анализируется новообразованные родственные связи, равно как и термины, обозначающие тех или иных родственников. Автор подробно исследует обряд так называемых расходных денег, а также продуктов питания, мяса и т.д., обычно подносимых домом жениха дому невесты.
