Егер біз ол деректерді көне көшпелілердің бейнелеу өнерімен, көрші халықтардың жазба деректерімен, көшпелілерден көрші халықтар қабылдаған жарақтармен, басқа түркі халықтары тіліндегі жараққа қатысты деректермен салыстыра зерттесек, қазақтардың жарақтарының түрлерін, формаларын, жасалу əдістерін толық қалпына келтіруге болады. Мақалада кеудені қорғау үшін қолданылатын жарақтың негізгі түріне жататын сауытқа қатысты оның түрлері мен атқаратын қызметтерінің этимологиясы кеңінен қарастырылады.
