Editorial Policy

The title of the Journal: “Madeni mura” – “Cultural Heritage”

The aim of the Journal is to publish and discuss the results of fundamental and applied research, as well as to gather practical experience in the use of relevant scientific activity, with the goal of publishing the most significant socio-humanitarian studies

The objectives of the Journal are:

to serve as a platform for methodological concepts in socio-humanitarian research;

to popularize and promote the results of scientific studies;

to create a discussion space for the exchange of scientific ideas and authors' discoveries;

to function as an electronic platform for publications, providing open access to the Journal's articles.

The mission of the Journal is to become a discussion platform for presenting and disseminating the results of the latest research in the fields of history, ethnography, archaeology, museology, heritage conservation, intangible cultural heritage, Turkology, and to ensure a wide exchange of opinions on pressing issues in socio-humanitarian research. The Journal aims to elevate the humanitarian sciences in Kazakhstan to an international level, create an informational socio-humanitarian space focused on attracting foreign authors for the integration of Kazakh humanitarian science, and identify relevant problems and needs of the scientific community.

Periodicity of the Journal – 4 times a year.

The owner and founder of the Journal is the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Main requirements for the article:

1) Uniqueness – innovations in the field, methods, and results;

2) Scientific methodology – objectivity and realism of the solutions;

3) High-quality presentation and structure of materials, clear expression, stating the position, and solving tasks;

4) Reflection of the main research results;

5) International/global perspective in assessing the relevance and outcomes of the work;

6) Compliance with the Journal's theme and formatting guidelines.

After a thorough reading of the article's text, the authors sign, confirming the originality of the research and their responsibility for the scientific and theoretical quality of the published materials.

The content of a scientific article must be previously unpublished and contain original developments with novelty, conclusions, and recommendations, or be a review (systematic review) of previously published scientific articles on a common topic. Additionally, the article must align with the stated aims and scope of the journal, and include the results of the author's own research or experimental/analytical activities.

The Editorial Board and the Editorial Team have the right to make necessary corrections and reductions. The submission of an article by the author to the Journal implies the transfer of rights for publication in the Journal of the National Museum and for its re-publication in any foreign language. The author does not have the right to publish this article in other publications

Archiving

The electronic archive of the Journal (print version of articles in PDF format) is made available for open access on the official website of the Journal.

The circulation of the Journal is determined by the Founder. Mandatory free copies of the Journal or its electronic version are sent to the national libraries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and authorized bodies in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Additionally, if necessary, copies are sent to state bodies in Kazakhstan, educational institutions in Kazakhstan and abroad, members of the Editorial Board of the Journal, and partners of the National Museum.
