Статья посвящена одному из самых загадочных археологических артефактов, созданного людьми первобытного общества в период мезолита и просуществовавшего вплоть до эпохи бронзы – желобчатому камню или «утюжку». Утюжки встречаются также в Ботайской культуре, которая считается культурой создавшей кочевую цивилизацию на Евразийском степном пространстве. Многофункциональность утюжков представляет загадку для археологов об их применении в быту бойцами. В течение более 40 лет археологических исследований на Ботае было найдено большое количество утюжков, которые хранятся в фондохранилищах музеев Северного Казахстана.
