Мақалада 1998-2011 жылдары қазақ Алтайындағы Берел қорымында жүргізілген зерттеу жұмыстарының қорытындылары сөз болады. Бұл құнды мағлұматтар б.д.д. IV-III ғасырлардағы көшпелі халықтардың көркемөнері мен мәдениеті, өмір-тұрмысы, жерлеу рәсімдері, діни ғұрыптары мен дүниетанымы туралы ғана емес, сондай-ақ олардың шаруашылық жүйесі, әртүрлі материалдарды өңдеу технологиясы және қоғамның әлеуметтік құрылымы, этникалық құрамы, әсіресе, мемлекеттілігінің ерекшелігі туралы да ғылыми тұжырымдар жасауға мүмкіндік береді.
