Мақалада 2018-2023 жылдары Қызылорда облысы Арал және Қазалы аудандары аумағында орналасқан Арал маңы Қарақұмындағы археология және этнографиялық барлау жұмыстарының нәтижелері ұсынылған. Арал теңізінің геологиясы және экологиясы аймақтың ежелгі дәуірінің ескерткіштеріне қатысты құнды деректер мен зерттелу тарихы кезеңдермен берілген. Археологиялық барлау жұмыстары барысында ашылған ескерткіштердің картасы, беткі қабатынан жиналып алынған материалдар мен қыш ыдыстар кешені неолит, энеолит, қола және ерте темір ғасырына дейін Арал маңының орналасу тарихын қалпына келтіруге мүмкіндік береді.
