Мақалада халықтың өмірі мен тұрмыс-тіршілігінде тұрақты орын алған, бүгінгі күнге дейін философиялық белгілері мен идеялық мәнін жоймаған, бағалы үй бұйымдарының бірі – кілем түрлері мен атаулары туралы тереңнен баяндалады. Ел тұрмысында мәдени мұра болып табылған қалы кілем, жібек кілем, масаты кілем, мақта кілем, құлпырма кілем, тақыр кілем, түкті кілем түрлері қазақ халқының кілем тоқу өнерімен ертеден айналысқанын дәйектеп бе- реді. Кілем қазақтың топырағында бұдан мың жылдар бұрын, өнер шеберлерінің ой қазынасынан туындап, шеберлердің қолдарымен жасалып, оюлардың түрлері мен атаулары кілемдерде толық қол- данғаны айтылады. Қазақ кілемдегі ою-өрнектердің философиялық белгілері мен идеялық мәні ою-өрнек өнерінің қалыптасып, дамуы туралы Ә.Марғұлан, М.Ш.Өмірбекова, К.Ибраева, Ә.Тәжімұратов, Ө. Жанібеков, Ш.Әбдуалиева ғалымдардың тұжырымды ой-пікірлерімен сараланады. Мақалада қазақ кілемдегі ою-өрнектердің философиялық бел- гілері мен идеялық мәні сараланып, қазақ халқының тұрмыс-тір- шілігінде кілемді қолданудың ерекшеліктері сипатталады. Кілемнің философиялық танымында жаңа буындармен өрнектелген ою-өрнек түрлерінің өрістеп жетілгені қарастырылады. Қазақ ою-өрнектері қол- данылу аясында кең мағынаға ие болып, ою-өрнектердің зооморфтық, өсімдіктік, космогониялық, геометриялық түрлерінің қайта түрленіп, толығуы туралы тың мәліметтер берілген. Кілемше теріліп тоқылатын жіптердің бояу түстері анықталып, «қошқар мүйіз», «сыңар мүйіз», «иттабан», «көбелек» ою-өрнек түрлері кілем өрнектерінің жеке мү- шелерін суреттейтін өрнек түрлері баяндалады. Кілем өрнегінде орын алатын қызыл түске қара, көк, сары және ақ түсті ою-өрнектердің фи- лософиялық белгілері мен идеялық мәніне зерттеу жүргізілген.
